James Maxfield: Capturing the People and Places of Texas

First Friday was not only a rejoicing of music, but of art! James Maxfield, renowned Austin photographer, shared a selected body of work. We have just a few of his calendars titled “Light Moon/Dark Moon: Black and White Photographs East of Austin” featuring photographs taken during his time in Bastrop from 1978-1993 left for purchase in store. We also have a selection of photo postcards as well. James has traveled all over and is full of stories. He has regaled us here at Sunflower with tales from camping at Woodstock and Austin in the 70’s. If you like photography, good tunes, good stories, and great music, this is the spot for you on Friday night or any day for that matter.
